Special Disclosure: Facial Data & Biometric Processing

To comply with Apple App Store Guidelines 2.1 and 5.1.1, we provide the following specific disclosures regarding facial recognition technology used in this Application:

  • No Profile Building: Sherlock is a real-time Reverse Image Search Engine. We do NOT collect, aggregate, or use public data to build persistent individual profiles or dossiers of individuals.
  • Data Collection: The Application identifies facial landmarks from images provided by You (uploaded via camera or photo library) solely for the purpose of performing a visual search. We do not identify, collect, or store unique biometric identifiers.
  • Planned Use: Facial data is used exclusively to perform a one-time search to find the public web source of an image. It is not used for marketing, user tracking, or any other secondary profiling.
  • Sharing & Storage: Data is transmitted via encrypted HTTPS connection to our third-party processing partner solely for search execution. No facial data or images are stored on our permanent servers.
  • Zero Retention Policy: All uploaded images and extracted facial landmarks are processed in volatile memory and are automatically purged immediately after the search results are delivered to You.
  • User Control: Your search history is stored only locally on Your Device for Your convenience. You have full control to delete individual results or clear the entire history at any time within the app settings.

  • Account: A unique account created for You to access our Service.
  • Application: Refers to Sherlock - AI Face Search (also referred to as Ai Face Search), the software program provided by the Company.
  • Company: Refers to Sherlock AI Face Search, Gujarat, India.

  • Service Provider: Any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company (e.g., FaceCheck API).

Delete Your Personal Data

You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting the Personal Data that We have collected about You. You can clear Your local search history directly within the Application settings.

Security of Your Personal Data

The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us. We use industry-standard encrypted (SSL/HTTPS) transmissions to protect Your data during transfer. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If We become aware that We have collected data from anyone under 16 without parental consent, we take steps to remove that information immediately.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
